I want to write prose for this yet I don’t feel inspired. This is another edit of a photo I posted yesterday, that I really like. It reminds me of death…or depression, bitterness or… something.

Maybe I’m just too cold…bloody -30C with the windchill. I’m really over these sub-human temps. Poop.

Below is the previous photo…

At -30 your uninspired state is definitely understandable. Actually you should applaud yourself for even getting out of bed in those conditions!

I love the light in this photo! And the dark shadows! Great work!

I think cropping it to fill the entire photo with the flower’s leaves could make this photo even stronger. You can see the background in the left corner, would be great if that was black or cropped out of the frame.

    Non the less.. LOVE IT!

But what dark words! Here in The Netherlands it is not cold (around 0 and 6 Celsius), but rainy…

I hope you will have a good weekend!

    Warm greetings!

  6. Hey Mama M, I think your photos are great. About the cold? Write it away. It was so cold out…how cold was it? Freshly brewed Iced coffee? It is nasty in the NE, and I have 70 degree days here. Not like winter at all. Stay warm and take care.

The difference in the two pics is startling! The bright red one looks so healthy and cheery and the darker colour has it’s own beauty but yes, a sadness about it, a waning or something. You could write something about the opposing themes and how it is in life depending on the lens through which you are looking. They are the same flower in different aspects.
